INFORMATION ON SIDE EFFECTS OF CIALIS DRUGS

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Cialis® (tadalafil); but not everyone who takes Cialis will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate Cialis well. When people do develop Cialis side effects, in most cases they are minor.

Often they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Because clinical trials are conducted under widely varying conditions, adverse reaction rates observed in the clinical trials of a drug cannot be directly compared to rates in the clinical trials of another drug and may not reflect the rates observed in practice.

Tadalafil was administered to over 6550 men during clinical trials worldwide. In trials of CIALIS for once daily use, a total of 716, 389, and 115 were treated for at least 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years, respectively. For CIALIS for use as needed, over 1300 and 1000 subjects were treated for at least 6 months and 1 year, respectively.

In people taking PDE5 inhibitors, including Cialis, there have been rare cases of a condition called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). This condition can lead to sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes (see Cialis and Blindness). If you notice any unexplained changes in your vision while taking Cialis, report them to your healthcare provider immediately.

There have been reports of transient global amnesia possibly due to Cialis. Transient global amnesia is a temporary loss of short-term memory. People may not remember recent events and have an impaired ability to form new memories. It usually lasts 24 hours or less and typically has no long-term consequences.

If you take nitrates often used for chest pain or alpha-blockers, prescribed for prostate problems or high blood pressure, do not take Cialis. The combination could cause a sudden and unsafe drop in blood pressure.

Most of the men are not bothered by the side effects enough to stop taking Cialis. Although a rare occurrence, men who experience an erection for more than 4 hours (Priapism) must consult their doctors immediately. Cialis side effects such as abnormal vision, seeing a blue tinge to objects, and vision problems, may occur rarely.
